Her Loneliness Had Worn Her Out

LONELINESS
Continuous knock on the door at 10 am made Richia uneasy on bed while she was in her dreams. Finally she woke up, feeling dizzy she went to unlock the door. As she opened it, her mother gave her a tight hug and pleasantly said, "Good morning my angel!" Trying to gain her balance she replied, " Good morning mom." Her mother then kissed her forehead and asked her to get ready quickly and come downstairs. Her mother's excitement made her curious. She quickly got fresh and with quick paces reached in the living room where her parents and brother were already seated.

"Richia, my daughter! Today I am really happy for you." Exclaimed her father. Richia stood still for few seconds. Perhaps, somewhere she knew the reason for the wave of happiness running in her family but just to make sure she asked what was the matter?. Her brother replied, "Your visa has arrived and now you'll be going to Canada for your studies to university." Tears started rolling on her cheeks, she was not happy to hear that. Richia never wanted to live separately from her family. But only because of her parents' decision she was compelled to go.

Three years later Richia was still living all alone in Canada. Such a long period of loneliness had worn her out. She couldn't adjust there, therefore had no friends and a social life, no one with whom she could share anything. She would wake up for her university, come back, and have rest, study and then sleep.

Her parents never came across with what Richia thought of. They just passed an order which she had to obey. Many times she tried to convince her parents that she want to get back to her homeland but her father always used to refuse.

Days passed and the situation became tougher for her. One day she decided to suicide after seeing a child playing with his parents, she got emotionally hurt. She came back at her place, mailed her father about the situation, took many sleeping pills and lay down on her bed.

Next morning she couldn't open her eyes. What was left were only tears and guilt of her parents ever after!
